General information

It is the DGFF’s aim to bring together academics who are comitted to researching ­ without any political contraints ­ the teaching and learning of foreign languages, the acquisition and use of second languages, as well as issues of intercultural understanding. The larger the number of members who support DGFF activities, the more succesful will the DGFF be in reaching its goals. It provides a forum where researchers with interests in different foreign and second languages and of different age groups meet and collaborate. We cherish the resulting diversity of ideas and approaches because it helps us to form a complex and representative opinion. It also enables us to plan research projects together, coordinate research grant proposals and influence the guidelines of research policies. We invite all foreign language researchers to become DGFF members. Annual membership is 60,- Euros. Special fees of 30,- Euros apply to student, unemployed, and part-time employed members. DGFF sponsors support our activities with 150,- Euros per annum.
