Like membership in any other academic association, DGFF membership is primarily a matter of exchanging ideas. The DGFF wants to promote the discussion between those who are engaged in academic research and teaching. However, it also offers several direct membership benefits. Among these are:
- the journal Zeitschrift für Fremdsprachenforschung (ZFF) (Journal on Foreign Language Research) which appears twice a year with ususally 160 pages.
- on request: newsletter concerning current issues (espcially job advertisments). Click here to subscribe to the newsletter.
- reduced rates for ordering the series Beiträge zur Fremdsprachenforschung (BFF) (Contributions to Foreign Language Research)
- conferences every two years where members can attend at reduced admission rates
- workshops organized upon regional or individual initiative with results that are published for the academic community
- consultations in research grant proposal writing
- offers for doctoral students and post-docs
DGFF Summer School
DGFF Scholarship
